Aamir Ali Reacts To Sanjeeda Shaikh's 'Demotivating Partner' Remark, 'Washing Dirty Linen In Public' (2024)

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh were once hailed as one of the most loved couples in the telly world. The duofirst met on the sets of the TV show, Kya Dil Mein Hai, and soon fell for each other. Aamir and Sanjeeda dated for manyyears before finally tying the knot in 2012. They welcomed a daughter, Ayra Ali,in 2018through surrogacy. Two years later, they got separated and were granted divorce in 2021. Sanjeeda won their daughter's custody and started raising her single-handedly.

In an interview with News18, Aamir Ali reacted to Sanjeeda Shaikh's recent interview, wherein she called him a demotivating partner. Addressing the same, the actor mentioned that he and Sanjeeda have not beentogether for nearly five years now and he doesn't think that his ex-wife was talking about him. Aamir added that Sanjeedamust have gone throughsomething like that after their separation and said:

“Not everything that she and I say about one another is about us. We have not been together for nearly five years now. She must have gone through something like that in that period, I guess.”

Aamir Ali claims he neverwasheddirty linen in public

Speaking along the same lines, Aamir Ali added that he also went through a low phaseduring theirseparation,but he doesn’t believe in talking about them in public. Mentioning that his and Sanjeeda's story is old now, the actor said that he had never put anyone down. Aamir said:

“Ours is an old story now which is over. I know what I went through in that separation period and what happened to me. But washing dirty linen in public is not my class. I’ve never put anyone down and I never will, especially who I have shared a relationship with.”

Earlier, in a conversation with Hauterrfly, Sanjeeda Shaikhopened up about her divorce from her ex-husband, Aamir Ali, and said that she feels very lucky for whatever happened with her.The actress mentioned that there are some men who try to demotivate women, telling them that they can't do anything, and added that it’s better to be away from such people. However, Sanjeeda shared that there are good and bad phases in every relationship, and a woman has to take a call at her lowest. Talking about the same, she said:

“There are men, and there are partners who try to demotivate you, who tell you that you can’t do anything. Or they will say you will not be able to do this. It’s better to be away from such people. There are phases in every relationship where you are happy, and then there are some when you are not, and then you take a call for your life and that’s what I did for myself, because I started loving myself and I started prioritising myself and that is very, very important.”

Sanjeeda Shaikh and Aamir Ali were once madly in love with one anotherand never failed to paint the town red with their mushy romance. Back in 2016, they sat for a joint interview with the Hindustan Times, andSanjeeda talked about the changes she hadwitnessed in her then-husband, especially after their marriage. She mentioned that she had known Aamirfor the last 10 years and that he was never an expressive person. However, she added that she helped him becomevocal about everything because, for her, romance is all about spending quality time with her partner.
