Position SummaryThe Educational Technology Specialist responsibilities include maintenance and support of the single sign-on (SSO) platform and supplemental programs. The position is responsible for working with administration and staff to support the implementation of supplemental programs designed to promote student engagement, learning, and student outcomes. This includes assisting with management of the delivery of supplier-provided programs and providing support to ensure compliance with contract agreements and policies; serving as the point of contact for vendor issues and working with internal stakeholders in troubleshooting and resolving functionality issues; conducting day-to-day maintenance of internal programs and platform use; and establishing and encouraging best practices to ensure effective use of chosen programs. Emphasis is on organization and oversight of the curation, distribution, and use/maintenance of supplemental programs under the single sign-on (SSO) platform.

Serve as point of contact for vendors and a liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors to work to resolve complex issues while addressing inquiries
Research, screen, and evaluate vendor viability for inclusion in Agora’s supplemental program portfolio by gathering information such as product fit, efficacy and student growth research, technical requirements, data protections and security
Review and analyze vendor performance, processes, and procedures to identify needs and provide recommendations with a high emphasis on continuous improvement
Assist with program and licensing oversight, including usage and growth metrics
Assist in implementing products and services from new or current vendors, including professional learning and ongoing support
Serve as highest level of problem escalation to identify, analyze, and correct problems with vendor-based programs, redundancy of services, ineffectual use of programs, and other issues that contribute to less-than-optimal student growth
Provide technical assistance related to educational technology programs
Maintain proactive monitoring of programs to sustain functionality and correct deficiencies
Coordinate with professional learning coordinators in developing and implementing professional learning, training, and support for new and current programs for both new hires and ongoing staff training
Develop and maintain schoolwide catalog of vendors and programs
Coordinate rostering student information processes (SSO integration) in conjunction with student information system specialists, operation mangers, and principals/directors
Prepare and present data reports and analytics related to vendor program use, engagement, and student outcomes to support educational decisions
Develop and implement databases, queries, report templates, and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality related to program usage and student growth
Use data to inform recommendations regarding use of tools and supplemental platforms in support of the overall educational programming
Collaborate with executive leadership on the creation and maintenance of a schoolwide data governance plan
Create and maintain integration rules, rostering, and password protection of vendor-based programs through the single sign-on system
Create and maintain communication related to educational technology services and supplemental programs
Assist the Student Information Systems Specialist in supporting integrations, implementation, troubleshooting, and support related to SIS

Required Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution
3 years experience in an educational setting, with increasing responsibility
Experience supporting and working in student information systems and supporting programs
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional virtual environment with the expectation of work in the main office a few times each month. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
