My overall high school experience with Monty Tech was positive. The switch from academic week to shop week and back to academic week was very good to have different experiences each week, especially having a break from academics was nice. This school did encourage students to go to college but the majority of graduates do not go because it is a tech school, so students learn their trades throughout high school.

Rating 5 out of 5
Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical High School (Monty Tech) has provided me with a strong foundation as I graduate and pursue an Undergraduate Education. Providing me with practical experience in my field, as well as great relationships and resources to help me grow academically and as an individual and leader within the school community. The ability to get involved with topics that I am passionate about, including mental health awareness, and community service helped me to meet and collaborate with new and different types of people. In the future, there should be more focus on student involvement, as many students come from different surrounding towns and communities, and providing emphasis on involvement within the school community will enhance student's high school experience at Monty Tech academically as well as socially, helping them to build skills of collaboration, helping them to feel confident in themselves and be involved with future communities.

The best part about Monty Tech is the opportunities it gives you, and the preparedness that you get when you graduate. Half way throughout Junior year and our Senior year, if all of our grades are above a C, you can go out on Co-Op. This is where every other week you can go and work at a job related to your trade and get paid instead of going to school. It gives you the chance to see what it is like to work in the real world, and the opportunity to learn with on-the-job training. Not many schools allow their students to do this, and to be able to is an amazing opportunity. Monty Tech holds students to high expectations and misbehaving is not tolerated. At this school you learn so much about not only academics, but also about being an adult, and working. We are not going to be in school forever, and to learn what happens out of school in jobs, while still in high school is very helpful.
