Who is O’Shea Jackson Jr.?
O’Shea was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 24 February 1991 – his zodiac sign is Pisces, and he holds American nationality. Early life and education
O’Shea was raised in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles County alongside his younger siblings Kareema, Shareef and Darrell, by their father O’Shea Jackson Sr., who’s a famous American rapper and actor, known better as Ice Cube, and their mother Kimberly Woodruff.
O’Shea became interested in acting while attending William Howard Taft High School, looking up to his father who had already made a name for himself in the film industry. O’Shea appeared in various plays performed at the school, as well as several played at a local theatre. He was interested in a couple of other activities during his teenage years, including playing football with his peers, and dancing.
Upon matriculating in 2009, O’Shea enrolled at the University of Southern California, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2013.

O’Shea made his debut film appearance in the 2009 musical crime comedy “The Janky Promoters”, written by his father, who also starred in it alongside Mike Epps and Jeezy; it follows two concert promoters who’ve messed up booking a superstar rapper.
O’Shea didn’t appear in any movies or TV series in the following years, wanting to instead focus on his education, so his following role was in the 2015 “Straight Outta Compton”, and the same year saw him star in the music video “Pia Mia: Touch”.
In 2017, he was cast to play Dan Pinto, one of the lead characters in the popular comedy drama “Ingrid Goes West”, written and directed by Matt Spicer, and which also starred Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen. O’Shea’s also known for his portrayal of Donnie Wilson in the hit 2018 action crime drama “Den of Thieves”, written and directed by Christian Gudegast, and which starred Gerard Butler and Pablo Schreiber. It follows the clash between the most successful bank heist crew in Los Angeles, and an elite County Sheriff Department’s unit; the movie was nominated for a National Film and Television Award for Best Actor (Gerard Butler).
Three of O’Shea’s most recent film roles have been in the romantic comedy “Long Shot”, the action adventure fantasy “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” and the biographical crime drama “Just Mercy”, all released in 2019; he’s currently shooting for three upcoming movies, including “Cocaine Bear” and “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera”.

O’Shea made his debut TV series appearance in the 2018 episode “Game Changers” of the historical comedy “Drunk History”, and his following TV role came in 2021, when cast to play Cooper in the episode “The Ballad of Jesse Wheeler” of the comedy drama “The Premise”.
Also in 2021, O’Shea starred as Coop in the comedy mini-series “The Now”, created by Peter Farrelly and Pete Jones, and which also starred Dave Franco, Daryl Hannah and Jimmy Tatro. It follows a suicidal man who’s learned that he’s the third person in his family to be suicidal, and has thus decided to turn his life around; the mini-series was nominated for a Canadian Cinema Editors Award for Best Editing in a Web Based Series.
O’Shea also attracted attention with his portrayal of the lead character Isaac ‘Ike’ Edwards in the 2021 sports drama “Swagger”, created by Reggie Rock Bythewood, and which also starred Sean Anthony Baker and Isaiah R. Ice Cube was born in Los Angeles on 15 June 1969 – his zodiac sign is Gemini, and he holds American nationality. He’s popular for having been a member of the American hip hop group N. W. A., as well as for his acting career; Ice Cube’s appeared in close to 100 movies and TV series, but is probably still known best for his portrayal of the lead character Craig Jones in the 1995 comedy movie “Friday”, which he also wrote. The film also starred Chris Tucker and Nia Long, and follows Craig and Smokey who owe $200 to a local bully, and have less than a day to find the money; it won one of the six awards for which it was nominated.
Ice Cube was raised in Los Angeles alongside his older brother and half-sister, by his father Hosea Jackson who was a machinist, and mother Doris who was a hospital clerk; Ice Cube’s half-sister was murdered when he was 12 years old.
He was attending ninth grade at George Washington Preparatory High School when he began writing rap songs, and chose ‘Ice Cube’ as his professional name because his brother often threatened to shut him in their freezer and let him out when he was an ice cube.

Ice Cube launched his solo career in 1990, with the release of his debut album “AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted”, and the same year saw the release of his debut extended play (EP) “Kill at Will”, which became the first rap EP to be certified platinum. His second album – “Death Certificate” – followed in 1991, while Ice Cube went on to release the albums “The Predator” in 1992, “Lethal Injection” in 1993 and “War & Peace Vol. 1 (The War Disc)” in 1998 – the second volume followed in 2000.
The year 2006 saw him release “Laugh Now, Cry Later”, and Ice Cube’s since released only three albums: “Raw Footage” in 2008, “I Am the West” in 2010 and “Everythang’s Corrupt” in 2018.
